Belgrave Square

Reversion of a government and commercial building to a single grand residence with an extension to the rear incorporated to create one of London’s finest townhouses.

Grade I listed, the building has undergone a sensitive restoration to contend with a significant insect and fungal infestation leading to the deterioration of much of the primary timbers and associated localised failure of the external masonry.

With a new basement, combined with a newly installed lift linking all levels, the property has been adapted through the introduction of modern building services systems sensitively installed through the historic fabric. To the front of the property the lower ground floor vaults have been lowered, with the basement pool also amended in size General structural works throughout have seen new large openings created through the installation of carefully pre-loaded box frames and a complete re-framing at third floor level.
